BICYCLE RIDER’S ELIGIBILITY

All bicycle riders have to agree safety instruction and manual before riding. The document is included with goods.

Note: Bicycar is online specialized folding bicycle shop and only deal with unique products which it may not available within Australia and New Zealand. We sell discounted bicycles by saving store running cost. If the bicycle becomes faulty in normal usage within warranty period, we can replace to new bicycle. However, if the folding bicycle is not under warranty, it is recommended for customers to bring the bicycle to nearest store. It is the cheapest way to repair the bicycle for most cases since shipment cost from and to Japan is not cheap. If unique parts, which are not available in your area, such as twin tube frame, colored tire and brakes, are required to repair your bicycle, please contact us. We will help you as much as we can at minimum price.

BICYCLE USE

You must NOT:

permit the bicycle to be used for any illegal purpose, for example race, contest or performance test of any kinds;
load the bicycle to more than 85kg total including the weight of the rider and any luggage;
load the front basket to more than 3kg;
operate the bicycle under influence of alcohol or drugs;
use the bicycle when it is damaged or unsafe to ride;
operate or permit the bicyle to be operated in breach of any legislation, regulations, rules or by laws relating to road traffic and use;
allow small children to ride the folding bicycle.

MAINTENANCE, SECURITY AND SAFETY

Practice riding the bicycle at safe place since small tires makes the bicycle less stable compared with larger tired bicycles.
Make sure breakes work properly before you ride.
Always use both front and rear brakes together. Using too much front brake can be dangerous.
Keep bicycle in good condition.
Keep the bicycle locked whenever you are away from bicycle
Wear a helment and proper shoes whenever you ride the bicycle
Follow correct procedures in folding and unfolding the bicycle
Be aware the folding bicycle is less stable than normal bicycles
Ride a bike on either a bicycle path or footpath (for your safety)
Ride only on flat paved roads
Ride at the speed of no more than 25km/hr at anytime
Check the bicycle’s frame, joints, handles, brakes, tires, pedals, and saddle etc before you ride.
If your bicycle gets wet, please wipe it dry with a dirt cloth and apply oil to avoid rust if it is made by steel.
Take extra caustion when ridding the bicycle at night (between 6pm-5am) and make sure to head and tail light are used.
In case the bicycle needs to be repaired, please take it to the nearest bicycle shop.
Always check the bicycle before you ride.

The things you should not:

Do not ride the bicycle on rainy days (very slippery)
Do not ride the bicycle near busy traffic (dangerous)
Do not leave the bicycle outside in the rain
Do not ride the bicycle in off-road
Do not ride the bicycle in a populatd area (walk the bike instead)
Do not wear loose clothing as it can get caught in the chain
Do not modify bicycle parts, such as handles, brakes etc
Do not hold luggage in your hands or hang it on the handle while you are riding the bicycle
Do not extend the saddle higher than the permitted height

USER’S LIABILITY

Bicycar is not liable for any injury or death of any person riding on the bicycle, nor the injury or death of any person involved in a collision with the bicycle. Furthermore, Bicycar is not liable for any loss of, or damage to, any property.

Warranty

Product Warranty Regulation

If product is defective through workmanship, and the product has operated and maintained correctly according to the safety instructions and the manual within warranty, we will repair, or replace the product for free. If customer requires a warranty repair or replacement, please contact the shop the bicycle was purchased from. Warranty repair or replacement is only available within Australia. Outside Australia, please contact the Bicycar for details.

The following is not covered by the warranty

Not maintaining the bicycle according to the manual.
Wear and tear due to normal operation of the bicycle, which may include: collision, falling over, curb damage, and rolling down a ditch.
Operation that violates the law.
Improper maintenance, mistakes, carelessness, or lack of structural understading.
Any modification of the structure or function of bicycle.
Riding the bicycle in places where bicycles are not normally used.
Any damage caused while the bicycle is rented to another person.
Any damage caused by acts of God, including lightening, fire, and…
Deterioration of paint, plating, metal, plastic or any other parts due to abnormal use.
Consumables such as tires, inner tubes, brake pads, pedals, bearings, chains etc.
Punctures.
Uneven ride that does not affect bicycle performance.
Not reading and understanding the safety instructions and manual.
Adjustments that can reasonably be made by the operator of the bicycle.
Repair by an unauthorized repairer.
Any optional parts, including the basket, lights, bags, locks, wires etc.
Where the bicycle was purchased from anybody other than Bicycar.
Any other reasonable cause under the discretion of Bicycar.

Warranty	90 days from bicycle delivery date
Extended Warranty	1 years from bicycle delivery date
Returning if not defected	Notify Bicycar within 7 days from bicycle delivery date
Returning if defected	Notify Bicycar within 7 days from bicycle delivery date

If customer thinks the product is defective and would like to return, certain procedures must be followed. If customer’s bicyle is not considered as defective, we process returning as not defective.

Bicycle retured by being in the same coindition as they were delivered.

If customer packs the bicylce in impoper way, and causes scracthes, damage or missing parts during shipment, Bicycar may deduct for that cost even the product is defective.

PRIVACY POLICY

We at Bicycar Rental are committed to protecting and maintaining the privacy of your personal information. We will not disclose any customer’s personal information to any third party unless it is required legally.
